Client Matching Matrix Setup

The Client Matching Matrix is a powerful feature that allows the User to set up an unlimited number of cross-references for (and amongst) Clients -- whether they be Prospects, Members, or Others.

The cross-references established in the Client Matching Matrix are used by the Abacus System for the purpose of embellishing the demographic attributes -- in order to:

In this setup program, the System Administrator establishes the nature of the Client 'Metrics' that will be tracked -- including the 'style' type of the Metric (and legitimate choices 'Measures' for those Metrics which are to be validated against a User pre-defined list of choices).

Matching Matrix Metrics -

A 'Metric' is a user-defined category of information that the Club-Resort may wish to retain information on related to their Clients (Prospects, Members, or Others).

Examples (similar to those pictured above) are:

There are several cross-reference validation types of Matching Matrix Metrics that can be created:

A variation of Validated allows for the creation of the legitimate choices 'on-the-fly'.

Metrics are broken to into 'Measures' -- which are User-defined sets of alternative choices that are of the Client-Reference, Staff-Reference, Non-Validated, or Validated (against a pre-defined list) style.

Example Measures (pertinent for a particular Client) have been provided for each of the above-mentioned Metrics:

The following screen shows a list of User-defined Metrics -- with the 'Alma Mater' Metric highlighted for editing:

Metric Code - a Code abbreviation for the Metric.

Metric Description - a Description of the Metric.

Metric Type - the Metric's cross-reference validation type:

Metric Entry Limit - the maximum number of 'Measures' that may be associated with a Client.

Display Order - the 'sequence' in which Metrics will be listed (in Client-related areas).

Ties on Display Order will broken be using the alphanumeric Descriptions.

If Display Order is left blank, the Metrics will display alphanumerically by their Descriptions.

Create-on-Fly - for the Validated style, click to 'On' if you would like the User to be able to create new validated choices for this Metric within Client Maintenance 'on-the-fly'.

Measures - click the Measures Button to show the list of Measures associated with the Metric.

Matching Matrix Measures -

Within a particular 'Metric', specific choices are called 'Measures' -- and the nature of these respective Measures is governed by the Metric (validation) types.

The following screen shows the list of previously-created Measures for the 'Alma Mater' Metric:

Measure Entry - enter the Measure Description.

Display Order - determines the 'sequence' that the Measures will be listed within their Metric.

Ties on Display Order will broken be using the alphanumeric Descriptions.

If Display Order is left blank, the Measures will display alphanumerically by their Descriptions.
