The Percon Portable Scanner-Recorder is the more-simple (non-sophisticated, less expensive) Handheld Physical Count Device.
The Percons are not capable of having Items (with Descriptions, Units, etc.) downloaded to them. Rather, they can only do a non-intelligent 'scan' (of a BarCode) and accept a Count associated with that Item Code. All verifications are done after the Batch is uploaded to the Abacus 21 System.
These Percon devices are not able to accommodate Handheld Requisitions or Handheld Ordering (and the more-sophisticated Telxon Units must be utilized for these situations).
