Clicker Setup

Another powerful User-defined feature for tracking Client-related demographics is Clickers.

Clickers can be used to store Client-related data... and be used (particularly in the case of Checkbox-Clickers) as filtering criteria.

Clickers are maintained/displayed as part of the right-side Client Options sidebar in Client Maintenance.

Clickers can be used for anyone in the Client file:  Prospects, Members, Other.  (All Client Types utilize the same definitions of the respective Clickers.)

Each Primary person and Individual person within the Client file can have his/her own personal responses to any of the Clicker Database.

Other User-defined Database styles available in Client Options are:  Series and Add-On's.

Clickers are available in two styles:

Any number of Clicker Types may be created -- with up to 40 'responses' per Clicker Type being displayed any one time.

An unlimited number of responses can be retained in the Clicker Type's History -- however, only a maximum of 40 can be displayed as active at one time.

Clickers can be used for anyone in the Client file:  Prospects, Members, Other.  (All Client Types utilize the same definitions of Clickers.)

Each Primary person and Individual person within the Client file can have his/her own personal responses to any of the Clickers.

Clickers are associated with System (Application) Junctures.

Currently, there is only one such Juncture pertinent to Clients:  Client Maintenance

Other User-defined Database styles available in Client Options are:  CheckBox-Clickers, Alphanumeric-Clickers, and Add-On's.

The screen below shows a list of Clicker Types that the User has already created for the Client Maintenance Juncture:

CheckBox-Clicker -

The following screen is appropriate for adding or editing Clickers -- with the first example (Clicker Type 'Sports') being of the CheckBox-Clicker style:

Currently, only the Client Maintenance Juncture has been establish for Clients.

Min Responses - for the 'Many Checks' style, the Minimum number of Checkmarks allowed.

Max Responses - for the 'Many Checks' style, the Maximum number of Checkmarks allowed.

The screen below shows a number of User-defined response category choices -- with 'Tennis' called up as an add/edit:

Category Code - a User-defined Code for the Response Choice.

The internal database History is retained in terms of this Code.  Consequently, the Code history is retained, and its associated Description can be changed (but should remain relevant to the Code).

Category Choice Description - the Description of the Response Choice.

Displayed - a flag that indicates whether this particular Response Choice Category should be display in Client Maintenance with this Clicker type is referenced.

This allows 'turning off' out-of-date Response Choices (without losing the History associated with them).

Display Order - the 'sequence' that this Choice will appear within the Clicker Type.

Ties on Display Order will broken be using the alphanumeric Descriptions.

If Display Order is left blank, the Metrics will display alphanumerically by their Descriptions.

The screen below shows this particular Sports CheckBox-Clicker in action (from the Client Maintenance Main Screen - Options) for Member 1200-000, Mr. David Helwig:

The example below is regarding use of Checkbox-Clickers for noting Committee participation:

Note:  Contrast the above 'static' (he's either 'on' or 'off' a particular Committee) approach that is possible with Checkbox-Clickers to the 'chronological' approach that is possible with Series Committee Example.

Alphanumeric-Clicker -

The screen below illustrates the Clicker Type setup for Food Cuisine -- where the Clicker Style is Alphanumeric-Checkbox:

The screen below shows the User-defined choices that have been configured for this Food Cuisine Alphanumeric CheckBox-Clicker:

Alphanumeric Clickers allow for a single-character (non-validated) Response per Choice -- to capture a 'gradient' of interest, for example:

H = High, M = Medium, L = Low ... Blank = No Response -- or

1 = Highest, 2 = Next Highest, 3 = 3rd Highest, ... , 9 = Lowest ... Blank = unrated.

Note that the same alphanumeric character can be used for more than one Response Choice.

The following screen shows the Alphanumeric-CheckBox Clicker for Food Cuisine in action for Member 1200-000, Mr. David Helwig:

This example implies that Mr. Helwig's top choices of Food Cuisine are Spanish & Chinese -- closely followed by German -- and distantly followed by Italian.
