NOTICE OF ABACUS 21 SYSTEM-441 PRODUCT LINE “SUNSETTING”

It has now been a little over three years since Northstar Technologies acquired Abacus 21. One of the strategic purposes of this merger was to blend the resources of Abacus and Northstar to provide Abacus Clientele “something bigger-and-better” -- as well as collaborating to incorporate Abacus experience and functionality enhancements into the Northstar platform and suite of products.
With that objective as our focus, Abacus and Northstar conducted an exhaustive functionality assessment… and put together an effective upgrade methodology – streamlining the process for enabling Abacus Clients to migrate their system platform to Northstar’s. As a result, the Abacus-to-Northstar migrations have been progressing well. So well, in fact, that there are now only a handful of Abacus Clients left who have not already converted (or made the commitment to migrate) over to Northstar… and all Clients that have already made this transition are now positioned to take advantage of the more advanced and robust Northstar platform.
Northstar-and-Abacus have made a number of presentations and communications to you since the acquisition… explaining this gameplan and offering to illustrate how the Northstar platform can benefit your operations.
Because of the dwindling number of Abacus-System Users… Northstar is expected to issue a statement concerning the anticipated “sunsetting” of the Abacus 21 (System-441) product line. [As you are aware, the Abacus System-441 Release-Version-76 has been “frozen” since July-2020.]
The exact ‘sunset date’ has yet to be officially declared… but indications are it may be slated for December 31, 2025. That is a little over 2-years from now. This means that Northstar would have provided Abacus Clientele a 5-1/2 year window-of-opportunity to take advantage of the Abacus-to-Northstar Migration-Upgrade campaign being offered by Northstar… or, alternatively, make their own arrangement to adopt some other System solution for their property.
