DataCard Magna
Magna Class™ card printers provide mid-volume users with simplicity of operation, exceptional performance and unsurpassed reliability for cost conscious organizations that manage secure access controls and issue ID Badges.

Full color, one or two-sided printing.  Print up to 200 cards per hour.

Datacard ImageCard M, M2, ML and M2L card printers redefine the standards for speed, productivity and reliability. They are perfect for any mid-volume issuance application requiring full-color printing on one or both sides of a card. These card printers deliver Associations and other cost conscious organizations that manage secure access control systems and issue ID badges.

The ImageCard M and ML can print full-color images on one side of a card at up to 200 cards per hour. The ImageCard M2 and M2L give you the same capabilities, but also offers duplex printing at up to 150 cards per hour. The ML and M2L offer a DuraGard protective overlay feature for added durability, security and extended card life. All Magna Class printers offer edge-to-edge printing capabilities to maximize card design flexibility. In addition, new Tru Image color enhancements on all Magna printers allow you to print color images with improved shade accuracy -- providing you with virtually true-to-life images!

Key features include a "smart" printer driver, operator-replaceable printhead, topcoat application, and "hands-free" card cleaning to simplify operation. Options include magnetic stripe encoding, smart card personalization or both.

Image capture made simple and affordable!

The Datacard® USB Digital Camera offers an easy-to-use, cost-effective solution for a full range of photo ID applications, including employee badging, student IDs and membership cards. The Digital camera integrates seamlessly with Datacard's ID Works® and ViaNet® Identification Software.

A variety of features – such as software-controlled exposure selection, automatic focus and full-color image previewing – make the image capture process virtually foolproof.

Even first-time operators can capture images quickly and easily. The Datacard USB Digital Camera offers easy operation – and smooth, seamless integration with other Datacard photo ID solutions. It can be configured with ID Works and any Datacard ImageCard® Series photo ID printer to create a fully integrated photo ID system that meets your specific requirements.

A lightweight design and simple, plug-and-play operation make the Datacard digital camera a truly portable solution.

Datacard® ID Works® identification software represents a quantum leap in photo ID card design and production. It gives you more power. More features. More customizability. And it's extremely easy to use.

But most important, ID Works software features an innovative, modular design—an industry first for photo ID software. So finally, you have the freedom to choose a full package or only the individual capabilities that meet your needs.


 Installation & Maintenance Services

Photo ID Installation Service from DataCard Authorized Dealers is Optional.

These tasks are expected to take an average of four hours to complete.

  • Unpacking.
  • Setup of the Printer and capture station.
  • Functional testing and Badge printing using a sample set of data.
  • Two-hour demonstration and instruction (using sample set of data) for one or two operators and an administrative person including:
    • System Overview
    • Capturing Process
    • Textual Photo
    • Photo
    • All other input devices
    • Supplies use and replacement
    • Preventative maintenance instruction
    • Basic troubleshooting
    • Calling for service and support
    • Import/Export of Card design
    • Password management
    • Audit Log
    • Basic report printing

In addition, the following will be provided:

  • All items listed above as part of "Installation"
  • Up to 4-hours of demonstration on production screen management and linking tips
  • Demonstration of badge design and creation of database
  • Use of a sample set to demonstrate:
    • Creating a badge format
    • Linking a badge to an input screen
    • Setting up database fields
    • Linking a database to an input screen

Maintenance Alternatives:

Contract: 

  • Monday-Friday (8am thru 5pm) - Parts & Labor, Unlimited Calls, 4-Hour Response Time
  • Two Preventative Maintenance Visits per year.

Time-and-Materials:

  • Labor - Hourly for Maintenance & Travel Time, plus Mileage Fee.

 Physical Card Specifications (variations are available)

  • Basic ID card, same size as Credit Card
  • "CR80" is 3.370" long x 2.125" wide (or 85.60mmL x 53.98mmW, and .030 or thirty-thousandths thick).
  • Material can be 100 PVC, or a composite of PVC/ polyester, usually 60% / 40% for durability of protective laminate coating. 
  • Mag stripe, high-coercivity is 2750 Oersted, low-coercivity is 600 Oersted.
Abacus 21 can supply these Card Stocks (including pre-printed and pre-encoded).
