The Abacus 21 System-441 Database is a fully ODBC-compliant SQL-oriented Database -- and, as such, can be "read" with any ODBC-compliant tool.  So, you can read-and-extract data from the Database with Excel™, Access™, Crystal Reports™, F9™, Abacus 21's Report-Builder, etc.

Abacus 21 provides a Datafile Dictionary that describes the field layouts of all the Tables in the Database.  Sometimes the information you are seeking may be in one Table... but often the fulfillment of the informational-request transcends multiple Tables... and most-likely these Tables are in a one-to-many relationship to one another -- and must be 'linked'.

Abacus 21's On-Line Help section on
Data Extraction provides example instructions on how to accomplish these types of tasks.

If you are utilizing Excel™ as your tool, creating a Data-Extract is actually generating a set of SQL statements that 'exercise against' the Database and present the data result dumped into an Excel™ Spreadsheet.  You can save the 'query' that was developed so that it can be re-used (re-run) at a later date.  Queries can also be 'edited' after the fact... with additional functionality imbedded... and can also be incorporated into macro's.

Below is a sample of the results of a Query that was structured to identify all A/R Transactions that originated from a "Bill-To" cross-billing references (that is, re-billed from one Member-Client to another):

Oftentimes there is a quick (or maybe even more long-lasting) need to have a Query constructed against the Database (perhaps for auditing or diagnostic or ad-hoc reporting purposes) -- and Clients sometimes find it faster-easier to have Abacus 21 write the Query for them.

Abacus 21 has a standard $100 Fee for doing a Simple-Query -- one that might involve up to three Table linkages.  More complicated Queries would be spec'd out an priced accordingly.

If you have any interest or need in having a Query written for you, please contact Abacus 21 Support.
